Good running engine from my wife's '87 300D which was T-boned last month, sadly ending the life of this W124 I had cared for so many years (well since around 2004).
The engine runs very well at approx. 169K miles.
I replaced all lifters, the timing chain, glow plugs and belt tensioner (both pulley and arm) last Nov (2012).

At this price I will include the Bosch rebuilt alternator with only 6 months use (less than 5K miles) and working AC compressor.
This is a ready to install, fully working engine and I will guarantee the head (#14) has no cracks.

I forgot to say the engine has a new style Vacuum Pump installed (very important on these engines) and no Trap Oxidizer
It may have an EGR bypass kit installed (can't remember).
