WTB W124 diesel STARTER
Need for a 1987 300D, other later NA diesels and the rod bender S350D also used the same SR47X starter motor.
I found my starter was damaged, it completely broke in two after the car was T-boned. No one was hurt fortunately. I don't have a core to end in for a Bosch rebuilt so any on with a good or even worn starter that is proced appropriately would work. Thanks, DDH

some research shows the following two starters used on 603 diesels:
Bosch 0001218150 (on motor housing) - starter on my '87 300D (SR47X) Bosch 0001218021 " " " - supplied as a rebuilt starter Both are listed as 2.2kW 12V starters, 10 tooth and CW rotation but I can't find any specific details on what might be different. A close look shows the 8021 has a 4mm threaded hole for the solenoid actuation terminal while the 8150 has a 6mm threaded post for that function with a couple of quick disconnect terninals alongside the threaded terminal. I'll post more info later as it seems some rebuilders list these both as applicable to the 6cyl diesels but one would prefer having the right connector for the solenoid terminal otherwise a change to the lead on the car will be necessary.
