OH, thanks!

I need to figure out if is a locking diff or not? Is that associated with the stability control? Traction control?

According to my book the 3.0 five cylinder turbo motors have 2.65 ratio.

I had a notion the 3 liter six cylinder motor had the 287 ratio.

I have a 210 mm limited slip that was going to be used in my 97 SL 320 but it turns out mine is a 198 MM, no idea if the 210 mm will fit your car. My notes show the casting # to be 126 351 12 01 but I can check the actual diff. I'd be looking for $ 300 + shipping.

While I haven't done it to this specific diff, a ring gear spacer will allow you to use higher number gear sets.

I bought it a few months ago from this ad.

88 560 sel 157,000 mi 2.47 ratio W126 body

This is a 210mm ring gear and 1.3l case. FWIW - The last 2.47 lsd w126 diff I sold had it's carrier fitted into a case for a w124.

Have a 2.65 (will verify if interested) from a 1995 E320 w/98K miles. ABS sensor hole only, no ASR, etc. $70 plus UPS.

Thanks fellows! I appreciate all the offers but a 126 won't bolt in and the 2.65 won't be satisfactory either. Good prices though!

Thansk again!

I need the 2.87 gear ratio. I still don't know if it has the locking feature either.

This may be a naive question, but why don't you fix the one on your car?

Its doubtful it can be repaired for less than replacing it with a good used one.
