Exclamation European Wishlist

Hello all,
As many of you know, I will start to travel back and forth from Europe to the States and viceversa. Are there any Euro goodies you would like from the Old Continent?

I will get you some when I stop near Dallas! What flavor do you like?

Now, here are some potential things that people may like...

-Factory hitches.
-Rear wagon bumpers (Euro) and lights.
-5 speeds for OM617, OM603 and OM606.
-Manual W124 window regulators.

Add your suggestion!

How do you plan to ship this stuff back?

Right now I have a bunch of stuff in France that is sent to a fellow restorer, and I'll pick it up in two loads when I go over there.

I'm not fussy - anything that's weird and wonderful is fine by me! Plain is good too. Don't get me more than three packets - we're talking real carry on stuff here (not the equivalent of a 5 speed gearbox)

More suggestions

OM617 manual flywheels
Euro yellow indicator lenses
Lowering springs
German number plates
M pumps
Transmission / gear box cross members
Transmission / gear box shifter rods

{I must warm you however Miguel I get the feeling that there's a lot of dreaming going on - people like to think they'd get this that and the other... I'm not too sure you're going to get the sales that you think you will. Shipping I think is the problem - I've been in touch with a few people who have asked me to find this that or the other over the last few years and they've all been surprised how much UPS / the postman wants to transport their goods. I've sent things to people on a not for profit basis a few times now and even then the cost seems high to me}

Depends on the size of said things! It can fit in my luggage, or in the vehicles I ship. When we get serious, maybe in 20' containers.

Nothing that a 50% won't solve. Whoever is restoring a classic Mercedes, will pay for the correct part. I am certainly aware of the abundance of cheapskates here!

May I add one more item to the list: used HAZET TOOLS.

Hazet tools, trunk triangles and W123 plastic dash trim are good items that should be in demand and easy to bring in a carry on.

I probably have 25 sets of German number plates, who needs some?

Call me when you get serious, I would like to bring back selected engines on crates. I just don't have enough stuff to fill one small container...yet. Specifically some RG engines- turbo diesels being placed in Maseratis.

I hope to be getting a Maserati for free soon, so this would be as cool as a 617 in a 107 roadster!

The other thing: I am happy to pay for my share of a container, but hitch-hikers"" who want two trannies and an shipped in my container and want me to pay for their freight will get a polite "Sorry.''

I believe in paying in proportion to what i get shipped. fair is fair

But there are always people who are trying to get over on everyone else.

Vacuum Headlight Adjustment

I'd like one Euro vacuum headlight adjustment and yes I'm a cheapskate.

Thinking about relatively small items...how about Euro cams for the W116/117, and due to the size of Euro headlights, how about Euro 107 side marker lenses and reflector bowls/parts (even if in need of refurbishing). Reflector triangles and their holders (important) would be nice.
