1967 Fintail, complete car, minus uni-body

Gents,
My Son ran away to Austrailia to live with the Aboriginies (he's doing mission work) 2-years ago. Before he left he bought a 1967 230S. I have every part and assembly except for the unit body and the radio. We had grand plans of a restoration before he left, but we had no time to finish. I have all the parts boxed and sorted. I have tried several time to liquidate these items locally on CL, with no results. Sure, lots of people wanted the radio!
I'm in Michigan, 49341 and would like to offer all these parts to an enthusiast at scrap prices. I just want them out of my way, but can't bare to take them to the recycler.
I'm not interested in shipping them anywhere, but would like whoever comes, to take all, if possible.
Oh, yea,..no fenders either. All other panel are mostly rust free. I also have many NEW parts, still in the packaging, for this project.
Engine is disassembled and looks worn out, but it's all there. Automatic trans.

Hmmm, strelnik might be interested. I think he's in MI and has a lot of older stuff.

Body shell, pretty much what you are left with when you have unbolted every part.

Craigslist is too local and difficult to search nation wide, niche items don't sell very well, you need more exposure.

something is amiss. if the structure is gone the it isn't accurate to describe it as complete.....perhaps the op can clarify??

Read the original POST, not the replies!!!!!!!!!!!

Complete car, MINUS unit (or) Uni-body,..as described! Fenders and radio also gone.

Is that clear? And yes Scooter, it was obvious.

not really obvious if 3 of 4 people are confused about what you have for sale. i have 30 mercedes cars in my yard and i'm not sure what you have. if you don't have the unibody then the roof, floors and rear quarters are gone? plus the fenders are gone......this is one of those picture is worth 1000 words deals

The only thing I can figure is the OP has boxes of parts. If you have a "complete" car, but no body, you must just have all the other bits and pieces which attach to the body. Odd use of the word "complete" though. If you don't have a body, fenders, or a radio, you are pretty far from complete.

Perhaps the OP would kindly clarify if my conclusion is correct. And if not, perhaps he would kindly explain his sale better for those of us who do not find this obvious.

Complete

Just read the post!!!!!!!! You can not UNBOLT the rear quarters or the floor! Think before you post. This isn't rocket surgery! Can I list very nut, bolt, component and sub-component???? No, but I can say " complete,..except for............."

The original poster is being unclear for those that are not in the car business and I suspect more is missing that what he says.

In short, calling it a complete car less "unit-body" is somewhat unclear. The "unit body" would consist of fire wall, roof, floor, rear fenders.

So , going by his description of "complete less radio, front fenders, unit body", the pile of parts should consist of:

All exterior trim and bumpers
Headlights, turn signals , tail lights
All glass
Hood ( sheetmetal engine covering ) , trunk lid ( Boot )
Four doors
Seats , rug , headliner
Steering column , complete dash board assembly ( runs across the car ) instrument cluster
All wiring
Heater / AC system
Wiper motor and linkage
Radiator , engine, transmission, drive shaft, rear axle assembly.
Starter , alternator
Complete front suspension, steering box.
Brakes front and rear
Five wheels / tires
Gas tank

It has always been my experience that when a seller or donor of a car is very defensive regarding questions asked, it is a good idea to be very cautious in dealing with this person.

Dude, the reason everyone is confused is that you describe it as a "complete car". If you don't have the body, you are selling a parts collection, not a car. The unit body is the part of the car that is legally a car. All the rest of the parts, while they help make up the car, do not constitute a "complete car" by themselves.

it's confusing to me because i know what unibody is (didn't we just transact one a couple weeks ago?)
a google image search for unibody yields this:

to call anything minus that amount of structure "complete" is just absurd, imo (or an attempt at humor:?)
then he says "you can't unbolt the rear quarters or floor....think before you post" like those parts are still there???
i'm guessing the front sub-frame is gone......
