Used Parts Website

Hey y'all.
I've been working on my website for a while and am finally launching it.
I'm seeking general feedback from other forum members.

It's dieselmercedes.com and specializing in used parts from 70s and 80s diesels.
The inventory is by no means complete, it will expand greatly over the next few months.
I'd love to hear any thoughts or desires about the usability of the website, and if you notice any errors.

I started this business as someone who was restoring these cars and had an awful time sourcing used parts affordably and easily.
I know many others out there are in the same boat, and this is the solution I've been working on.

This post is not meant to be an advertisement, but an honest request for feedback so that I can serve customers better.
Feel free to contact me directly via email or PM

Thanks!

Is another established site for NOS vintage Mercedes parts.

The only way to buy parts is to email through the website.

Looks pretty nice. Prices aren't bad, site is easy to navigate.

With the W126, W201, and W124 you may want to expand to carrying gasser parts, since there are lots of those cars out there with gas engines, too.

When I navigate to "Home > R107/C107 Chassis > Interior", I get a message that says:

Quote:
Interior Parts for the W123 Chassis Mercedes Coupe, including: Carpet, Trim, Dashboard, Wood Trim, Plastic Trim, Seats, Seat Covers, Armrests, Seat Backs, First Aid Kit, Visors, Door Pockets, Map Pockets, Glovebox, Instrument Cluster, Switches
When I look at the connecting rods ("Home > Diesel Engine > OM617 Engine & Components > Naturally Aspirated > Rotating Assembly > Connecting Rods Set M115 M121 OM615 OM616 OM617 OM621"), the item description reads, in part,

Quote:
Compatibility/Interchange
1955, 1956, 1957, 1958, 1959, 1960, 1961, 1962, 1963, 1964, 1965, 1966, 1967, 1968, 1969, 1970, 1971, 1972, 1973, 1974, 1975, 1976, 1977, 1978, 1979, 1980, 1981, 1982, 1983, 1984, 1985
This flange will fit many different motors in a vast array of models.
Here is the list of motors this pump will fit, please confirm the designation of the engine in your car before ordering:
M115, M121, OM615, OM616, OM617, OM621

Here is a list of models that this pump should fit. Again, please verify the motor designation before ordering:
And, are the connecting rods between those engines all the same?

Thanks for noticing those errors! I will go fix them

We do plan to expand our niche in the near future, for now we're just buying the old diesels until I've got more capital to work with.
Seeking investors

Yes, the rods are the same on all of those engines.

Looks like a nice site but....using the term "dieselmercedes" is opening the door to MB's lawyers coming after you for using a corporate name/product without permission...

That would only be true if that was the company or band name. Domain names don't work like that.

That's actually not the case, it really depends on who has the better lawyers, you can't typically use company names for your own use, even in a domain name.

MB doesn't want 3rd party sites coming up in searches for their own offerings, this is where the problems stem from.

FYI this website was once called "mercedesshop.com" Visit/Whois who owns that domain now and you will see.

I could list many other independent companies with 'mercedes' in their domain name...

It really just depends how MB is feeling that day, they might leave it alone, they might attack, you never know.
