Looking for transmission for 1972 280se 4.5

Looking for a good used or rebuilt automatic transmission. I am located in Central Mississippi. thanks

I have a good used one. shifted perfectly I have no idea what freight would be from MN to Mississippi. I would like $500 for it.

that automatic is heavy and if it is dropped will push through just about anything. the key to success is to make sure it can't move around inside its crate.

Build a wood crate out of plywood for it and use a sheet of building syrofoam sheeting in large pieces on the inside to secure it.

You shouldn't use a box, it will not hold when dropped (and it will get dropped at least once). If you attempt to go the box route, do TWO of them. The inner box should be reinforced with rope. It would then be placed inside a larger box and again, kept from rattling around using large pieces of styrofoam sheeting.

Shipping by UPS with insurance should be about 150$. You pay extra for the weight and the dimensions. It's easier if the shipper can drop it off at someplace for forward Air and the buyer can pick it up from a similar depot.
