Parting out 83 240D

I am going to start parting out my 83 240D in the next few weeks. Aside from having been run on some questionable fuel the engine seems to be in pretty good shape. I can ship smaller parts but I don't have the time or ability to ship anything large. The transmission, shifter, pedals, drive shaft, power steering pump, DS mirror, exhaust and headlights are not available. I am willing to part the engine out but I would prefer it go intact. Located in Newark, DE

Here is a quick video of a "cold" start... it was about 90 when I got home from work and started the car. There is a metallic rattle which is a broken exhaust clamp.

Make sure to save all of the hand crank Window stuff. If you don't I'll happily buy it all.

Does the antenna work?

Antenna is there but its bent and doesn't move. I'll let you know on the window parts. I'll most likely end up selling them since my 240D already has crank windows.

I think someone is already going to take the dash. If it falls thru I'll let you know.

Not trying to step in front of the Don, but I'm interested in the crank windows if he's not.

How does the alternator bracket look? Need one for my 300D non-turbo.

Thanks,
Mark

The bracket looks good. I'll know more once I get the engine pulled. Hopefully I will have a hoist in the next week or two to get it out.

If anyone sent a PM and I didn't respond please send another or e-mail me thru the forum. My inbox was full.

Alternator Bracket

Ready when you can get to it, looking for one with the adjustment screw mechanism in good shape. My daughters is toast from when my mother had the car and let non-Mercedes knuckleheads work on it.

thanks

Last call for any parts from the shell. I am hoping to have it hauled off in the next week.

I still have the dash and the manual window regulators from this car along with all four door cards. I can ship the regulators but the other items will need to be picked up locally.
