WTB: Pencil-style Beru or NGK glowplugs for OM617

Anyone got some new lying around by any chance?

Just thought I would check.

You would be mailing them to Canada.

Tks

No Beru or NGK's. But I do have a box (11 of them) Bosch Duraterm that is made in France.

Hmmm. Okay, could I trouble you to post a pic or two of what the boxes (the individual packaging for the plugs) look like?

People keep referring to the decoration on the boxes now and I don't recall that the boxes my last set came in looked that funky.

Tks in advance.

See this link for a guide I wrote when I replaced mine about 6 months back, the box is pictured, including the hologram sticker for verification of authenticity.

I just helped a friend replace his and the boxes look like this still.

I'm having connection issues and I cannot load the iFixit pages right now.

However, I did a search in Google for the images from your DIY and I see the info you provided.

I don't recall for sure whether or not my boxes had the hologram you show. All I remember was a plastic seal over one end that had some sort of symbol. I am 97 percent sure that code number (?) I see in the pics was not there.

I may have one of the boxes lying around still in my parts bin, so I will double check.

It's all a footnote now anyway, as I have cleaned my main ground, tightened the starter and changed to synthetic for the winter and I still need an entire glow cycle (until the relay clicks) to get the car to stumble and I mean stumble into life (I am guessing three or four pots) at 23 F.

Normally this car would need 7 seconds or so of preglow to fire up nicely on all five pots in those conditions.

Oh, and forgot to mention, thanks for posting useful info like that. I wish I had read it earlier

Had some time this weekend and took some pictures of the Bosch Duraterm plugs. These were bought from AutoZone several years ago and have been sitting in my parts boxes. These fit pretty much all OM616/617/602/603 diesels except for the '87 190Dt which has the inclined glow plug holes therefor needs longer plugs and Beru plugs would be the correct application.

I still can use them for my '87 300TDT but I guess I could sell a set (minimum 5) as well.
