i have a very straight 1985 gun metal grey with grey interior zero rust w 126 turbo diesel 5 cyl om 617 sedan ca version ( turbo and ox trap looks recent) i will part out
or sell whole. i think the engine/ trans itself is good but there is an issue ( read my post) so i ,,may,, part out engine components but the car is in nice condition.

the car is in northern nevada drives just fine (again read my post) the title was lost by p.o/seller and there are backfees to ca dmv but that doesnt apply to some states. bill of sale given

FWIW I found it difficult to source the intake manifold when it cracked on my 85 CA 300TD. Got one eventually. If you part it out, that part is somewhat special.

I hate it when people lose the title. In CA I think it is a single form to order a duplicate replacement, which is what you need to title it elsewhere (in many states). To the best of my knowledge, CA backfees don't apply to any state other than CA. You might look at dmv.ca.gov and search for duplicate title. It might be trivial for seller/P.O. to get a title and have it sent to you.
