WTB: Early W123 Blower Motor

I have a 1977 300D and need a blower motor. I'm so desperate that I was going to buy a Uro brand. But it turns out they seem to only have the one for the 81-85's.

Here's what mine looks like:

Thanks!

Have you looked into rebuilding it? I was in the same situation as you a couple of years back. This particular style of blower motor is very hard to find now.

Turns out problem with mine was worn brushes. Swapped in new brushes and have been fine since.

I think that's the same thing that's wrong with mine. But my motor looks like it's a sealed unit. I have one from a 1984 300D and it's motor is totally open and can be easily taken apart.

Right. It's not bolted together like most motors. It should have three or four little "tabs" around the outside edge on the bottom of the motor. carefully peel those back and it can open right up. Trick is getting it back together. Done carefully it can be pinched back together. I ended up doing a tiny lil tack weld with a MIG to get mine to hold together tight.

I have some detailed instructions on the DYI for this job at the house. I'd be glad to share with you.

Hello. Just a note that if your brush repair goes pear shaped, I have this one for you to consider. I hope all goes well. Thanks.
