There are about 4 different dashes for the W123 car. Please post the year and model.

She said its an 84 123 so I would assume its a 300D unless its a gray market car.

Needs to be an 80+ dash. From a 300 or gas car. The 240 has the extra hole below the IC for the idle adjust. Earlier dashes had a different grain.

an old 240 d bare bones dash it might be -"off black" but all you really have to do is cut the tiny vent hole in the top and its really the same as the later ones-- except for one little square hole pierced in the instrument area for the cable gizmo,

(here is a tool makers tip folks, crinkle three sheets of tin foil together, halfway forming them I one sheet, lay it down against the rs of the instrument cluster dash top bump, and mold it to the surface of the dash.... take your exacto knife and cut out the square vent hole-- now you have a perfect formed template to lay on the replacement dash to mark / cut the vent hole accurately.)
I have 6" 12" stainless scales -steel rulers, and since im maniacal about accuracy I double check the measurements.

crack free is pretty hard to get now so, the little differences are trivial now if its crack free. a blue dash , twice as much is true.

The later dashes have a different texture than the earlier dashes. It sounds like this fellow is looking for an exact match to his original dash for a car show.

I have a really nice black dash... sadly not perfect, that I had planned to sell in Canada.

It has minor cracks just starting at the defroster vent openings.

It has BOTH a center-dashtop climate control sensor grille AND an opening for the idle speed control. I have no history on it, so no idea why it's that way. It came out of a really nice '84 300cd that rusted out underneath.

If you have no luck from anyone in the USA, and if you can get around the extra opening, drop me a line.

I am in Canada, and shipping something like a dash into the US will not work, cost-wise. I would have to drive down to northern NY state, pay a customs import fee then have a UPS Store pack it and send it as a domestic parcel.

Just keep in mind.
