WTT/WTB: OM616 NON-EGR EXHAUST MANIFOLD

Looking to trade my injector service or buy the EXHAUST Manifold for the 4 cylinder 240D OM616 engine. NOT the one which went to the W115. Here's a few pictures of one.

Please PM if you have one.

Thanks Cool Jay ... Yup ... I see these on E B A Y now and then ... however, they are being priced in the same ballpark as the 5 cylinder NON-EGR, so a little pricey right now. Demand should be lower for the 4 cylinder vs. 5 cylinder.

I should have grabbed one on E B A Y about 4 months ago. Sold for $47 shipped. So, in reality, it sold for $40.42 as E B A Y grabs 14% between E B A Y and PayPal. I am in the pricing areana of $40 to $50 shipped OR I will swap my injector service which is $99 for a set of 4 or 5. I know once I buy one or trade for one, I will get one at the yards for under $20 bucks ... lol

Thanks anyways !

I have no shortage of EGR ones sitting around, I realize that's not what you asked for, but I figured I'd toss it out there.

Agree on that!

I find it fun to see what people are asking for parts on eHell...Its like because they have the word "mercedes" on them they are worth their weight in gold...I also love when I see people list their old parts like UCA's and thinking they'll sell for good dollar....I would love to meet one of these used worn out parts collectors and know their philosophy

Yeah eHell is horrible now on "fees"...Then focusing on what "extra" the seller has to pay for shipping....You'll be in he hole unless your selling items over three figures...a week later, I got a "fuel surcharge" from UPS taken off my card......

Although buyers and sellers in a perfect competition environment can certainly set pricing on anything but the market will drive pricing, but it's odd when you take folks who monitor E B A Y or E-Hell on a regular basis and you see stuff which routinely sells all the time for, let's say $20 bucks plus $10 bucks shipping and then you see a different seller doing the same thing but is now selling the same item for $100 bucks and $25 shipping. I always wondered to myself, "Does this person ever sell this item at that pricing ... and is this 'for real' ... ?

I have been into reselling since I was a wee lad, and I can explain it a "bit". I was into it before "upcycling" became the trend and resellers were called dealers as we knew what we were buying/selling. I still try to do a little bit in this hell hold but the stores refused to sell to me with out some sort of drama...Trying to explain, that hey if you make me money, I will make you money....doesn't apply to them...sad really..

So the rule set down by old timers, were that you wouldn't buy anything that you couldn't make three times the profit on....so if a worse case scenario...you could get back the investment or if you were to donate an item...you weren't in a hole....

Newer "flippers" became born, who can't seem to use the ehell sold item search and list things at the average price...They see one listed for sale and think OMG I can get that! Mean while there are two dozen that sold for a tenth of that...

So the answer is, nope....they never get it....They end up getting stuck with the item for life and soon become a grumpy hoarder....

I miss the days of making 75k a year, and now I am stuck in my mothers basement....Its amazing how things can just take a turn on a dime...heath, finical, life...etc...It's like, live life to the fullest because you never know what tomorrow may bring!

Well said ...

I am simply clearing out my garage right now but also realize I need a few odds and ends, which sucks since I passed up the odds and ends in the yards a few years ago. Sucks not having the motivation you once had to hit the yards every week like a habit.

Youngest goes to college next year and I entered the E B A Y zone ... mostly listing stuff for $5 bucks or $10 bucks, and so far the bidding wars have been interesting. About one or two years ago, most of this stuff was placed on the forums only and sold pretty fast OR it ended up in a small pile here and there in my backyard at .10 cents a pound after my wife yelled at me for making a mess. lol

Agreed there! I use to run all over the bay area(california), every Fri/Sat....Leaving the house at 4am sometimes 2am...then that went to going to a few choice sales, then when I got here I hit sales at 7, and now I can't even get up before 10...and I am only 31! Damn freaking rare arthritic disease has taken out my body...

I miss the yards in Cali, would also be able to find lots of neat parts and cheap! Here we have one, 150 miles one way! and just an am radio will set you back near 50$....I want to go so bad, but I hate when I can buy a car cheaper then a bucket of parts...

Careful about listing to much! eHell's new 200 or 20k year "rule" will report you to the IRS as a business....and you'll need to file business taxes, apply for a license and a bunch of other crap....I miss the old days where ehell was just considered a hobby...

It really is amazing, how these cars increased in popularity more then when WVO hit, just with in the last couple years....I "think" things spread like wild fire with social media now, and between the yuppies and hipsters, things just spread like crazy when they hit....Just wish that amount of interests was applied to young folks in the area of mechanics, horticulture, farming and construction....Amazing were we would be if it did...

I doubt I will hit $20K a year or sell 200 items per year.

As for arthritis, and I can hi-jack my own thread I guess, I suggest you try a change in diet. I have really bad discs at C5-6 and C6-7 which were headed for a multi level ACDF (fusion through neck) and fusions at L5-S1 and maybe L4-L5 plus all my major joints are shot except my knees. Already had major surgeries on both shoulders and ankles. Nine years jumping out of planes took its toll ...

I have been super lucky and blessed to avoid these fusions by radically changing my diet and with supplements. Doctors are somewhat surprised. Time will tell, but back in February / March, I was at Johns Hopkins making arrangements and those arrangements are still pending ... I lost 30 pounds, down to 180 or maybe even a hair lower and virtually most symptoms are gone ...

Oh I wish a diet would fix mine!

Its a rare auto immune disorder called Psoriatic Arthritis...and despite the golf commercial...Enbrel won't cure it lol

I caught it too late, I "thought" I damaged my left knee in a fall. And I never really had it checked out, when I was finally able to buy insurance, I started the diagnosis....Well I discovered my skin condition, became internal and well it had fun with my bones...

Its pretty much an over active immune system, so far my left knee is fused, spin is curving, feet are bunching and hands are clubbing...When I meet with the rheumatologist after three knee specialist could only come up with a conclusion their is arthritis in the knee...I couldn't even make a fist...

I wish I knew that this could happen and I could have went in around my 21st b-day and got on enbrel, I could have saved so much of my body...Now I am just screwed, and enbrel kills my immune system, thus I can kick the bucket from a cold/infection...

Its very depressing, sitting on my ass all day long...specially when my career/hobby was landscaping/horticulture....I hate being indoors...

Thanks! Oh me too! I had a really good doc in California, who was fearful of what will happen when arthritis natural kicks in with age and understood that the damaged cause could never be reversed...but here every doctor I see turns into an argument as they see my age and natural go to diet/exercise being the "cause"...Just last month, the xray tech was telling me that my knee is the worst one he has ever seen....I need to ask for copies of xrays so I can keep a small pocket size portfolio to "prove" my condition......but I did change my diet severely years ago to help the skin condition...Just super hard to follow here...when the two main food groups are spam and lard
