I need a steering column lock for my early 300E.

It cannot come out of a later W124 because they have a cable interlock for the shifter.

I will take one with or without the lock tumbler in it. If it comes with the tumbler, I need the key so I can properly remove it. If it comes without the tumbler I only want one that was removed with the proper tool, if you used a dremel to get it out, I don't want it.

I've got a later one (1995 E320 w/98 k miles). Tumbler was removed properly and sold with the other locks so that is not included. $35 includes shipping to your door.

Unsure if you can install without connecting any cables to it or any other connections. That would be your homework.

I've got a 1987 300TD that I'm parting out. Would it be the correct style for you?

What do I need to do to remove it?

You just need a key, turn the key to the on position. Loosen/remove the 10mm bolt on the pinch collar. Push in a little brass button near that collar and the whole column lock pulls out.

However I got one out a of local friends parts car and fixed my car yesterday. I appreciate the reply though.
