Tranmission:
Checked my notes on the trans and it's a 1985 from a 2.3L.
Someone had asked about the numbers. They are:
124 260 01 01
711 411 00 034248

Re: sale of transmission, I would obviously like to sell everything as a package and be done with it.

Good question.

I am reaching back into the recesses of my memory. I have the 2.3L flywheel, but I seem to recall that it is not a direct bolt on to the 2.6L crank. One would have to be purchased, or, if possible, the 2.3L flywheel modified. Sorry, can't remember what I found in my research on this topic all those years ago.

Bill G,

I'm in Oakland County - interested in checking out the transmission package sometime. Is rear diff included/correct to the transmission? Did you pull this off your vehicle recently? Please send me PM for when/where I might be able to stop by and take a look (I'm out in the Troy/RO area)!

Thank you,
-Oleg.

PM'd you.

Re: differential, I do not have one and do not know if they were even different between the vehicles. Sorry, can't provide any info on this point. Trans was pulled somewhere around 2010/2011 from a running vehicle in the NW, I think.

Do you have an AC console available? Still looking for one of these. BTW I have a workshop down the street from you.

I've been getting quite a few questions about the trans swap. First, it's a 5-speed. The parts included are complete to my knowledge (except, arguably the flywheel for a 2.6 application). There about $300 in new parts included:
front drive shaft flex disc
master cylinder rebuild kit
slave cylinder rebuild kit
throw out bearing
clutch pilot bearing
clutch line
pedal cluster rebuild kit
pedal rubber foot pads
lots of miscellaneous bushings, bearings and clips

Shipping has been a big question. I'm north of Detroit. To ship to California costs around $175-250. To keep things simple, if the buyer pays the first $100, I'll pay the rest.

Finally, the aluminum pedal cluster mounting bracket has a little tab for the brake switch that broke off when it was shipped to me. I have the tab. If this is the only thing preventing the deal from getting done and you do not have access to someone that can weld (probably <$20), I might be able to arrange the repair at my end.

I'm not aware of that tab providing any meaningful service, at least on the W123 -- people chop it off when they do W126 manual tranny swaps because it's in the way there.
