I have two 116's - one is a rusty 300SD with a great engine. Has been my daily driver for a long while but the chassis is rusty, the clearcoat is peeling the windshield is leaking, etc. The other is a 450SE with an engine knock. Fun engine to drive but just not economical enough and I've always been a big fan of the OM617.95. Have been trying to sell it as a project but it hasn't generated any interest. So, I'm hoping to find somebody within reasonable distance of Frederick, MD that I could drive the cars to to have the drivetrain swapped. I figure it should be relatively straightforward since I have two 116's and thus any parts necessary, but this sort of thing is beyond my skill level. Will also want to put in some new mounts and so on when this is done. If you're up for the job, please PM me an estimate and your location.
