WTB MAF E300D
I've been getting check engine lights on my '99 300D turbo. says air flow sensor. Are there any fixes like cleaning the hot wire that some gassers do? or am I going to need to buy a new one? (close to $200!) would consider a low mileage one I guess if the price is right. PM

At least on my 97 gas cars, the MAF gets 12 V and 5 V in order to operate. The 12 V runs the circuitry and the 5 V gets modified and sent back the the computer.
Standard ignition makes a replacement insert for the gas cars and I'd expect it to be the same for a diesel ( the diesel does not use the 2 air temp sensor terminals. ) |
