WTB: Single Mass Flywheel for 5 speed onversion
I am looking to buy the larger single mass flywheel for an M103.
Preferably the one that can accommodated the largest clutch diameter, 240mm, 9.44 inches. This flywheel comes out of 1985 and 1988 300e 5 speed models. |
Not sure if it's the right one but I have one from a 1984 190E 2.3 in my car. Planning to swap it with the correct diesel flywheel whenever Dieselkraut makes it out here to help me with a couple projects.

Its probably not the right one.
The early M102 cars use a diesel style flywheel with no timing "windows" on the flywheel. The crank sensor is on the distributor on the early M102. In approx 86 or 87 the later flywheel came out with two timing windows on the flywheel on the M102 cars, its still won't work for an M103. The M103 had a flywheel with three timing windows. |
The 190's all had smaller clutches than the w124 300e. Even the 190e 16v was only a 228mm vs 240mm like on m103 or the euro 603 diesel cars with a stick.
