For sale 280e euro instrument cluster

It has the hash marks for a five speed. 125 mph speedo, tach. vacuum guage plus all the usual guages. It all works but I am not certain the clock does. If someone wants it and especially needs to know about the clock I will check.

It is showing 142,000 miles, I believe.

$125 or I'll part it out.
Speedo $40,
instrument cluster on left $40,
tach $50
binnacle $30.

So no longer whole?

I been waiting for a reply back to whether you had a 280 guage. Oh well, such is life.

Now what is the price if parted?

Thank you so very much!

I'm very sorry if I owed you an answer and failed to respond. What gauge is needed please?

FWIW, the speedometer is not the correct one for the 280E. 280's had 140mph written on the faceplate.

The tachometer I purchased will have a nice home in my 280TE.

Hey Snibble, not at all upset. Figure just purchase a metric unit and then all the visible Federalizing be removed. I already drive in metric units, so no issue there.

Okay, so this is for the 230?

What year? Where does the signal pick up from?

Thank you so very much!

I just searched for a 140 mph speedo and found a 280e for sale with one showing in a picture but it also had the big clock and no tach. So I am mystified. It shows a maximum speed in third gear of about 90 mph which I believe is what the speedo I sold to Jooseppi showed... but I believe it maxxed out at 120.

I am shocked that there was this much demand for 280 parts. ...wish I had more to sell!

Tom, most W123's were diesels here in the US. So anytime a gasser comes up, its always worth hanging on to parts.
