WTB: W126 oil pressure sending unit CABLE
Since swapping an 84 SD engine into an 83 240D body, I have no working oil pressure gauge. Not really interested in retrofitting an oil line to the SD oil filter housing. I still have the SD gauges, if I could track down the cable that goes from the gauge to the sending unit, life would be grand. Or if anyone has a hack to make it work that doesn't involve piping oil through my firewall, I'm all ears. (or eyes?) Thanks in advance!

Never Mind....
Ended up the cable was bundled in the engine wiring harness. But also found a reference that indicated if I removed the electronic sending unit from the 300SD oil filter canister, the threads are the same as the oil line to the back of the 240D gauge. Turns out, it was! So, will try that and hope I don't end up with a puddle of oil in my footwell.
