WTB SERVICE: 1979 300D injector refurbishment w/ Monarch or Bosio Nozzles
 

I Have a set of 5 injectors I wants cleaned, refurbished, and rebuilt with Monarch or Bosio Nozzles. Also need to be pop testes and set to the correct specification.

I'd like new springs pins washers spacers and etc. If they are showing wear when you open them up. (And if this is stupid and not necessary let me know as well)

I'll ship my injectors and buy the new Nozzles and either ship them to you or drive them to u if u live in western Washington.

I'll pay for the labor.

I really would like someone who has the knowledge and skill set to polish the visual side of it to make them look ad brand new as possible. I think they are brass on top and that would be sweet if they actually looked brass again, but I could be completely off here too.

Either way I want them show quality

I also have 10 more injectors I will want done by you if they come out both looking good and functioning even better. (Brand new function and internal cleanliness is most important)

I believe you are referring to Greazzer, who has recently retired from injector servicing, a great loss to this forum.

I took mine to a local diesel truck service center that features Bosche and did exactly as you say. I provided them Bosio nozzles and they took it from there. You may have to provide the desired pop pressure to them.

And ya I can take them to Seattle injector but they charge 80 per and then tac on another 150 maybe more for the Nozzles and that's $550+ which is too much money inu opinion.

There used to be a Bosch injector shop in Seattle. Don't know the name though, I use a different shop, will send you PM when I get the info! DDH

The premier Bosch diesel injector shop in Seattle is called "Seattle Injector" it is right on the south side of downtown on Airport Way. Maybe a block north of the Downtown Seattle Mercedes Dealership.

They do incredible work but a rebuild is more on the expensive side of things. And I have also kind of given up on mechanic shops and any sort of business doing my work for me. I have had way too many bad experience and always left wondering if they actually did the job right or if it's Jerry rigged. I love being able to have one on one contact with my mechanic or more often just do it my self.

Don't get me wrong tho, I have ONLY HEARD GREAT THINGS about Seattle Injector. I have absolutely no reason to believe they are not the best diesel injector shop in Washington State, which they are.



Prices for them are as follows if anyone is interested:

- Injector clean, pressure test, and spray pattern test. $100 +tax TOTAL, ALL 5 injectors (good deal IMO)

- Injector rebuild, (also clean, pressure, and spray test) - $80 per injector ($400 for all 5) plus $40 tax (steep IMO)

I was way too cheap ... lol

UPDATE: Someone has PMed me to do the job. I'll post pictures and do a quick review when its done, and refer his name if anyone would be interested. (Only if that's ok with him, of course)

I told you, you worked too cheap. It takes a rookie like me about four minutes to test five injectors and that includes filling the tester with diesel and having five left thumbs on my right hand.

However, I think 20 bucks a pop might be a little high.

Buying new springs is unreasonable. You'd be just as well to buy complete injectors if you're planning on going down that road.

As noted here many times the proper way to deal with injectors is disassemble them, clean the parts, install new monarch nozzles and pop them to assess their pop pressure. Then tear them down and add or remove shims or any combination thereof to get the specified pop pressure for your engine.

The good guys lap the body of the injectors to ensure a good seal. Some of us lap them to refine the popping pressure to make them all pop at an exact predetermined pressure instead of settling for a range as is allowed by MB specs. It's kind crazy to go to that extreme but I only work for myself.

I'm like greazzer, dealing with consumers will make many friends and a few enemies along the way. It's the few that bother me though I might be willing to help anyone out but at my leisure.
