It's a white 90 300 SEL with a tan interior (I don't know the actual color names) in very nice condition cosmetically inside and out. It's in So. Cal, as am I. It has a punctured oil pan (which of course is one of the things I need). I don't know if the driver was smart enough to turn off the engine in time or not. The car has about $400 in DMV penalties against it, and I don't think that an M103 powered W126 with 170,000ish miles is something that is going to bring enough money to justify the trouble and expense of fixing. (Correct me if I'm wrong.)

I want the trans, stock wheels, headlights, and eng. wire harness. (I'm hoping the harness will work on my 88 300E. The W126s didn't go to Gen V CIS-E in 90 like the W124s did.) Everything else will be available. I do not however, want to part out this car if I can't sell off any of the rest of the parts or if I can't sell/trade off the rest of the car. It's quite a dilemma, one that many of us go through. Honestly, I would gladly just trade off this car whole for just some of the parts that I need:
1) I need TWO GOOD W124 fuel tanks. Sedan or wagon. If it's a wagon tank I'll need it's GOOD fuel pumps too.
2) I'd love to have a GOOD TIGHT ASD pumpkin, any size (210mm or 185MM), any ratio taller (lower numerically) than a 3.27. Remember, happiness is a tight posi!

3) a GOOD W124 4matic transfer case.
4) a GOOD 722.3 trans with 1st gear start from a M103 or M104
5) a GOOD 722.5 trans (The one that is basically the 722.3 with an overdrive. I do NOT want to attempt a 722.6 swap.)
6) a GOOD #17 head or higher for a OM603
6.5) a GOOD OM603 non-trap-oxidizer style exhaust manifold (exits down instead of up).
7) a complete OM603 (I'm open on condition)
8) a complete turbo OM606 (I'm open on condition)
9) a turbo kit for a M103 or M104
10) a CNG or LPG kit for a M103 or M104
11) OM603 hop-up parts like an injection pump with bigger elements, a bigger turbo, etc.
12) I need a good W124 back glass
13) a engine wire harness that would work for an 88 300E 3.0 car
14) a good odometer for a 1997 1/2 to 2004 Buick Regal
15) New and old magazines! Car mags, even old Popular Science and Popular Mechanics magazines!
16) a good W124 front windshield.
17) a good complete diesel W124 instrument cluster
18) some decent looking inexpensive wheels that fit a W126
19) a decent looking set of inexpensive headlights that would fit a post-'86 W126
20) a good M103 oil pan

So, is there a need out there for anything from this car, or a need/want/desire for the whole car?

Would you mind sending me pictures of the interior? I would be interested in the front and rear seats if they are the right color as well as the driver's side mirror. I'm local (in Eastvale). I may be able to help you out with item 19 as part of a trade...Thanks!

Is this something that I could test without the engine running? (I can't start the engine due to the punctured oil pan, which happened before I got the car.)

The car is in storage. I'll try to get over there and take both interior and exterior pictures, which I will post here in this thread, by Monday. You being local is a big plus for both of us. Since there does seem to be interest in some parts I will go ahead and bring the car home and part it out.

looking for reasonably good wood (zebrano); at least the four doors, in refinishable shape-not delaminated but clear coat failure ok. Not wanting to spend like new wood, as I'm trying a refinishing process.

My car is pure white with red leather and is in mint shape but like all old Benzes, the odometer is broken. Sure could use a dead pedal and trunk chrome strip.
