OFV (Whole) rebuilt with mod'd spring

I have two of these for sale. $40 each and that includes Priority Mail, $50 worth of insurance & tracking. These are re-built with the mod'd spring which I have been selling for a few years now. The springs only can be found at www.dieselfuelinjector.guru

OM616 & OM617 MB Engines

They have been cleaned to near surgical precision. They DO NOT include the aluminum crush washers. You will need to re-use yours so don't drop them while changing them out. NO CORE needed.

Here ... the person who just pinged me, here is the thread / info regarding the mod'd spring for the OFV. I believe most if not all possible questions or issues have been fleshed out.

If this fits an OM603 pump I'll take it.

I cannot say 100%. It should. Some folks with OM603 bought them and one person said it would not fit his IP so I am assuming there must be different flavors of IPs.

The overflow valve body is the same for all Mercedes Diesel engines with prechambers and inline pumps.
It's M12x1.5mm threaded. The OM605 with direct injection (290TD) and inline pump uses it as well; the 290TD was also produced with a distributor pump. It will also fit in a OM615 or OM621.

Applications include: OM616, OM617, OM601, OM602, OM603, OM604, OM605, OM606, OM662 as they all have the same valve body.

HOWEVER, FROM MEMORY, SOMEONE WITH A 603 SAID IT DID NOT FIT. NO CLUE WHY THAT PERSON SAID THAT. However, I have sold these to folks with 603 and I got 2 thumbs up. So, there must be some variation in the pumps.

The 61x overflow valve should fit the 603 just fine. No idea who said it doesn't, I have one for my car. Be aware that it works on a different principle to what the original "orifice" style valve is and can make priming air a lengthy process because of the lack of primer handle. Works well though and the positive shutoff from the ball bearing check valve is a welcome addition.

I didn't know there was a difference between the valves. Can you elaborate on the differences at all?

What do you mean by positive shutoff?
