WTB: w115 radio

Looking for a “cheap” Becker am/fm or a period correct aftermarket radio for my ‘75 240d. Mainly looking to fill the hole in the console with something other than something with gaudy LEDs. Factory blanking plate would suffice too.

I have what I believe to be a W123 radio?

It's a: BECKER AUTORADIO
BECKER EUROPA CASSETTE
Model # 599

Drop me a email and I will forward pictures.

If anyone else wants it for a good price contact me.

A becker 599 is for a much later car (1980 and later). His car would have a Becker pinstripe radio. The 599 will fill the hole though.

Those knobs are going to look too out of place and modern I’m afraid. Thank you though.

I think I may have found a speaker. Now just need a radio... I’ll take a non working one st this point. I have a local shop that can rebuild.

Probably cheaper to find a working becker europa on ebay than having one "rebuilt".

Is it the “Mexico” or “Europa” that I should be looking for? I have the single dash speaker system.

I have a 1976 W115 240D german import manual. It works. I can pick up some stations but I am planning on replacing it. A daily driver needs a better radio.

Send me a pm or email through the site and we can talk.

A Europa would be typical in a W114/W115.

Thanks to biopete I was able to fill the hole in the console with a working Europa II. Now I just need to get the speaker replaced and I'm set.
