95 e300

I have a 95 e300 that was hit in the rear and totalled. It is white with gray interior, has 212k and was in pristine condition. Looking to sell car whole rather than part out. Just installed new engine wire harness. Car is located in North Alabama.

I would like to get 1500.00 for it whole. Really don't feel like parting it out. Can email photos to anyone who wants to see them.

Just as a point of reference I ended up selling mine for $1k and all it had wrong was a rear door got crunched and needed to be replaced.

I agree with MB140300SD the prices for E300’s are low.I own a 95 E300 with a 5 speed and a rebuild engine and when I needed to sell it the best offer I got was $1800 I decided to keep it best car I ever owned

Go for it, no one buys W124 parts.

I ended up giving most of my parts away to a buddy from mine.

Translation: I'll park it under a tree, turn down realistic parts offers, not sell much of anything, let it sit until it deteriorates to the point it is no good to anyone then scrap it for $ 200.

A rear hit car would be good to turn into a Ute ( Australian car based pickup. ) I would not bother trying to make the factory body panels work. A fold down side bed would be fine. ( https://www.uteltd.com/ ) I'd make an effort to install wheel wells so lift height is low. Probably retain independent rear to further push bed height down.

The " Frame " would be rectangular box tube run all the way up to the drivers foot area. ( See also frame connectors for unibody cars ) The rear of the " cab " would be from a mini / midsized truck. Probably make a 8" extended cab for a bit of storage. Not sure what wheel base I'd run.

In the 80's someone converted a BMW into an actual working tow truck, they used a Nissan mini truck cab wall. bmw-tow-truck - Ugly Truck Day ........................... https://jalopnik.com/the-worlds-only-bmw-3-series-dually-tow-truck-can-be-yo-1562268134 This isn't all that new of an idea. In the 20's up until the early 50's big classics that no one wanted were converted into tow trucks or pick up trucks for farm use.
