anyone know where to either get my a/c compressor rebuilt, it's leaking but not making any noises, or where to purchase a reasonably priced new or rebuilt one, thanx in advance

If it's working fine, you can replace the seals yourself. The parts are available mail order from acsource.com. About $20 for a shaft seal kit and gasket kit. ACsource doesn't list it, but I also purchased a kit of clutch spacers (little washers used to set the clutch gap), snap rings, and such from my local a/c place for about 5 bucks. There's a step by step article at http://www.pelicanparts.com/techarticles/911_Nippondenso_rebuild/911_Nippondenso_rebuild.htm The author rates the job as three beers out of ten in difficulty.

There are a number of sources for rebuilt compressors. Prices seem to run $300-350.

Thumbs up Brand new!

If your's has completely failed you could check this one out, if it's what they say it is, the price with the clutch is less than a rebuilt without a clutch! I picked up a similar ND compressor rebuilt for $170 there on E-Bay, Good Luck!

damn that was a fine screw up because it's was just sold, sorry !but it looks like these guys are some kind of dealer so they might be able to still help you

FYI... I just dealt with acsource.com. it took two weeks to get a shaft seal and it was wrong. when I email them I got no response. I found another source called SCG-ACPARTS.COM Mick Mickcrerar@aol.com he sent a seal kit by mail in 4 days. 1.62 shipping. it was not just the seal but washers and lock-ring
