FOR SALE: W123 OM616/617 -Euro Sanden A/C and bracket, et cet - ORIGINAL
$200 shipped CONUS Priority USPS box with $200 worth of insurance.
I will get some pictures this week. This includes the brackets, pump, fasteners, et cet. The pump seems to work but disclosure the pump is being sold as a "core". I was holding on to this for a long time because they are somewhat uncommon but I am not going to get to my A/C for a while and I am clearing out the boxes and tubs of parts. PM if interested. The two rubber pushings will need to be replaced. The cheapest solution will be to buy one slightly larger and mill it down. I will look to see if I have any to toss in. |

Sent you a PM yesterday, Curious if this would work on my NA market 82 300d, as my R4 is getting a bit noisy and I'm worried it's gonna quit on me next summer.
Thanks!

I will post some pictures this evening. I think I have a US A/C bracket to compare and contrast. Sorry for the delays.

No problem, I'm bad about forgetting to check PMs and stuff, so I figured I'd post here in case you'd see it.
I'll eyeball my cars bracket and stuff to see if it might fit! Thanks for getting back to me, I'm not in a rush, We're past the A/C season, just as long as I figure something out before next summer I'll be happy!

Here are some pictures. If you want more, please let me know. The bushings is what goes on these brackets. Replacemenet bushings are cheap but the issue is milling them down although you may be able to find ones on the money.
This includes all the parts, fasteners as removed from the car, and the brackets. These are pretty rare which is why I grabbed it a while ago. The pump looks minty as well, HOWEVER I do not know if it is any good or not. It spins freely but the clutch is not engaged. The connector is still there. Folks normally cut them. I have an AC bracket somewhere from a regular AC pump somewhere to compare and contrast. |

The bracket looks minty also.

It looks like the brackets lost most of their plating, but they are not rusty or beat up.

I have somewhere also screw on caps which if I can find them I will include them in shipping so that I do not have to try to drain out the oil.

I do not think this will bolt right up to a US version block unless there's something different about the upper oil pan on different OM617 engines. It does mount and you can clearly see where this is designed for the OM617 family of engines. It will not clear the upper oil pan by a 1/4" on the turbo engine installed in "Red- the AMG wannabe". However, assuming your upper oil pan sits a little lower, then it will bolt right up except there's one hole missing on the front of the engine.
This topic has come up before- http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/diesel-discussion/233365-alternative-compressor-mount-euro-w123.html |

Looking at my engine, I think you're right, it looks like it won't fit.
That is a real bummer, for what you're asking I'm tempted to get it anyway in case there is a possibility I could fabricate it to work, but I don't feel right potentially cutting up what is a very rare part, I wasn't aware there even was a factory sanden option anywhere for our cars. Maybe I should look into just replacing the R4 or one of Rollguys brackets instead. I'll think about this for a bit and get back to you, if someone else contacts you, go ahead and sell to them, but I may be back after I ponder my options. Thank you so much for the detailed pictures, I can figure out what bolts I'd have to leave out and an idea of how it'll sit with my oil pan shape.

I think it may fit a .912 block. Rollguy’s kit is very nice and Rollguy is a great guy. I had one of his kits in one of my prior W123s. Worked great and ice cold A/C.
I might keep the Sanden kit for China Blue. It is rare and when it pops up for sale they normally fetch a lot. I may have to replace my pump on China Blue so this didn’t even cross my mind until I thought about keeping it. |
