WTB - OE MB W123 WIPER BLADES

Looking for Left and Right OE Mercedes W123 wiper blades. See pic attached. This would be for a coupe. I know the windshields are for sure different and the arms might be different but I'm not sure if the blades themselves are different.

These OE blades will be in your used parts or still sitting on a parts car.

As in the pic the OE blade is different from aftermarket blades in that there are 2 'keepers' on one end but only one 'keeper' at the other end. Aftermarket blades all have some variation of 2 'keepers' at each end. I wouldn't mind as much of the old rubber as possible still intact as a reference for finding new rubber refills.

Hey I wonder whether the blades you get at costco that have universal fit would work?
They are superior in my experience and I have fitted them on a 79 300D and a 89 300SE. And even on a 92 Eldorado.

For you it is just a matter of correct length.

Still available from the dealer, the part number is 2018201545, around $17 a piece or $12.50 wholesale (mercedespartsbuckhead . com, mboemparts . com, etc)

No, only Original Equipment blades that came on the car have this configuration. You can get wiper blades all day long from Mercedes. They are not OE spec.

For aftermarket I would just get them from Bosch or SWF.

To be more clear, basically the OE factory wiper blade holders at the ends of the arms are different from modern Bosch options, etc. The OE blades lay on the windshield all the way around the curve.

This will be a very obscure part left over from original factory blades that were either NEVER changed or original blades that were kept and only the strip of rubber was changed.

In the pic the OE blade has 2 'keepers' on one end and one 'keeper' at the other end. Aftermarket blades, including blades from the dealer, all have 4 'keepers'.

I can't help with sourcing OE blades, but I can help with the laying on the windshield bit with aftermarket (modern) blades. Skip the "monoblade" style, they suck on these older cars. I daily drive a W126 which has a steeper curve on the windshield than the W123 and struggled with getting the blades to lay all the way around the curve, especially lower down on the windshield. My solution has been to get the standard metal wiper blades from Napa and bend the main frame slightly to give it more curve. Seems to do the trick perfectly and the wiper blades (particularly the passenger side) lay flat on the glass all the way through their stroke and back to the park position.

I do the same thing on my E34 BMW that seems to have an even worse windshield curve lower down than the W126. Works great on it too.
