38lb om617 flywheel Heavy manual swap

I'm selling my flywheel. 600$

I was hanging onto it for match balance but I don't think it was ever balanced to the engine I took it off of.

Real deal and includes used Fw bolts. Would cleanup, I haven't touched it since removal so dust and clutch dust for sure.

I've seen these stay for sale on ebay at 1000

rjz5400@hotmail.com

Pictures too big for this forum, man I hate trying to do photos on here. Anyway email for photos? It's a flywheel. Worked fine in the donor car before pulling.

In Santa Fe NM

That is the one you want if you are doing the conversion. A 240 fw will work but will not be as smooth as with this one.

Replied. To be sure this isn't the common om616 4 speed flywheel but the grey market only om617 specific heavy flywheel. (As I understand)

Don't know that its gray market. Wasn't 300D naturally aspirated available with a manual trans in North America in both W115 and W123?

I don't believe so, though I would not be surprised if a few were built to order for export to here.

No, 300D's were strictly automatic in the US - all years. The heavy 5-cyl. flywheel is only found on grey market or otherwise imported cars.

Free bump, i bought a 240d transmission and some other bits from this seller a few years back and it was all painless and as-described. I ended up pinning down this flywheel + a factory 5 speed from elsewhere, and can confirm, it's great.

Thank you for taking the time to add that helpful feedback!! I do appreciate it and I am glad you were happy with the transaction. Hard to believe it was that long ago, I haven't swapped the motor I bought this donor car for yet........

I bought mine from a member on here a couple years ago. $600 was the price. It's not an outrageous ask.
