Service: Becker 780
Hi,
I can repair your Becker 780:
Ship to me (North Texas), I ship back to you. Turnaround about 4-7 business days, depending on the scope, this is a lengthy job requiring complete radio disassembly. I'm doing this part-time. Besides: I can also unlock and remove anti-theft of your Becker 754; add aux/bluetooth without spinning tape to 1492/1692, CM1910, Audio 10, Audio 30. Audio 10 gets bluetooth in the AM band. Thanks

Expect 50% of Becker official quotes or less. Depends on the scope of the job.
Say, if it's simple unlock and anti-theft disable, then $20. If the chip is bad, $30. Aux - $30. add shipping ($16 usps priority) All caps replacement with unlocking/anti-theft, $100 shipped. Becker charges an arm and a leg, and no wonder, it's time consuming.

Hello filp,
I have a Becker 1432. I am familiar with the fact that these are multipiece systems where the amps and receiver unit are in trunk, and that the headunit is just a "control face" with cassette mechanism. My issue is two-fold: a) Playing tapes seems to result in too-high-of-a-pitch. I suspect maybe the tape motor is running too fast. I compared the tape playback to my home deck, and to another Becker I have in another car. Only this BE1432 has too-high-pitch. b) Perhaps relayed to the above, when playing tapes, the upper midrange sound seems overly emphasized and blares. I have to dial down the treble adjustment to get it sounding normally. This does not happen with the AM/FM tuner or the CD inputs, which sound just fine. Is this something you can repair? I will contact you privately. Thanks. |
