Does anyone have a good functioning lower miles auto trans for a 99 E300 turbo diesel? The car has 311k and no record (and I have a STACK of records from the previous owner) of the trans being replaced or even a drain/fill. It occasionally shows symptoms of a bad conductor plate but with the high miles, and the fact that I'm about to start driving it about 80 miles a day for work, it may be worth having a good trans laying around for a rainy day.

I'm in Chattanooga, TN and would prefer one I could pick up but shipping isn't out of the picture if it's not too bad to freight one.

Where is it at Folktom?

Change out the conductor plate, filter and fluid and continue on. I have a customer on original transmission that just turned over 375k miles on his 98 E300.
