That's a 85mph one, right?

They show up regularly on eBay - search for "mercedes (cluster, gauges, speedo, speedometer)" - and they're not expensive, probably because people are selling their old ones after putting one in with the later high speed range.

I've got a "spare" instrument cluster that I don't want to break apart. The housing has a small crack behind one of the gauges. Don't recall which, since it has been awhile since I last saw it. Would part with the componet for a reasonable price plus postage. Make an offer if interested.

380 sl speedometer

Can you give me the part # ? It's at 6:00 on the face of the speedometer. Also a rough price, as I don't have any idea what they go for.
Thanks, Don

Will be glad to pass that info along if you can hold off till tomorrow. It's in the attic in the garage and will have to move all the cars out to get it down.

I don't know the cost either, except for the fact they are not cheap. Most I've seen on eBay wind up going for $125.00 or more. I paid about $80.00 + shipping for this one and would probably turn loose of it for that since I'm not out to stick anybody.

The part number on the speedometer is 107 542 1801 and the cluster is 87 001 021.

Didn't see this request for additional info till I came in this evening. Will have the car out tomorrow and be able to get into the attic then.
