Transmission valve springs/valve body-PHOTO
Removed the valve body from my 84 300D transmission and discovered the pressure control valve spring broken.
I would be willing to purchase the valve body from a dead transmission since I am only needing specific parts out of a 722.3 or 722.4 series automatic transmission. Shifts hard from neutral to D or R. Shifts late at 3000 RPM 3-4. Photo of valve body with broken pressure control valve spring lower right.

Stuttgardt Motors in Cedar Rapids off 33rd ave was very helpful and had a detailed troubleshooting and computer graphic explosion of all the 722. transmission parts. I ended up ordering transmission parts from Juergen at Jaggi Imports in Missouri City, Texas, 800.874.7753. Juergen was very knowledgeable and helpful in diagnosing other problems in my "84 300D as well. His German accent is a plus and recommend him highly! www.jie.com/Mercedes/mercedes_benz_transmissions.htm. The photo attached shows broken pressure control spring lower right.
