Well Ive used this one twice Its the only HVLP gun Ive used. I got it at a pro bodyshop supply house and they said a lot of guys use them and not to bother with the higher priced ones unless I will use it a lot. If you are painting a lot like once a week then I would say go for one of the guns you mentioned. If you will use it once a month or less than the astro would be fine. You are going to get a similar finish either way. Im sure in a paint booth under ideal conditions the higher priced guns will give a more "perfect" finish in the right hands but unless you are a painting pro I doubt you will notice a difference. I have a few other astro pneumatic products and they have lasted well under lots of tough use. You should do research on the web in a bodyshop forum, you will learn a lot. I dont know what you will be doing with the gun but I found this website to be great: http://www.seanet.com/Users/clauded/tips.html

Good luck!

What kind of paint were you spraying with that? An acrylic laquer? Just curious to know what kind of paint works well with that gun.

Yep. thats what I used. You can also use the 2 stage paints. I also sprayed primer with it. It works with all automotive paints.
