WTB: 17" Wheels

I'm on the prowl for a decent set ot 17" wheels for my 94' e320. I'm considering a few diff. style wheels right now so if you have something feel free to post so that I can consider it. Also I should let everyone know my budget is sub $1000

Thanks!

with tires? gonna be hard to find for that price with tires any name brands, but may be able to get some replicas for that price with tires... a few members are/were selling rims on here, definately look for a set that will compliment the car, like AMG monoblock II, which look great, or something with a large face. thin spokes dont look great on a w124 if you ask me.

I should have specified, sub $1000 without tires.

Replicas are fine (pretty much is what I expect to get), and also Ashman you hit the nail on the head, i'm pretty well looking for fuller looking wheels (no thin spoked wheels or Monoblock IIs since I see those so often)

Thanks

It is funny that you should post, I actually emailed the seller (DTM Fan) regarding those wheels probably around a week ago. The seller informed me that he had a deal pending on them (which I'm guessing is with you).

It is up to you, I wouldn't want to infringe on your deal unless you have decided that you no longer want them. While I won't lie, I do like those wheels, I would feel bad if you gave them up for no real reason.

Just let me know, and I very much appreciate the offer

Go for it. Tell DTM its fine by me if you want 'em. They are pretty wheels and would look good on a v8 car. Who knows maybe you'll pass the favor along one day.

I've got a set of 17X7.5 and 17X8.5 AMG monoblock2's off a CLK55 stacked in the shop at the moment and my wagon is in the middle of **** fit about equal fueling. Not to mention the biggest tire I can run on the front is a 205/45/17 and still get the 1.3" drop on it unless I go to 500E front fenders. (which I think would look a bit odd on a diesel wagon.) Currently I'm running a set of the 16" CLK 320 polished alloys and if I stuff it in hot and hit whoopdedo's it'll scrub a bit now. I also can't find anyone who has a clue about front springs on a 603 powered wagon. LOL Imagine that, I try to go fast in something no one else would ever think about.

NEW 17" Carlsson 1/6 W/tires

I have a set of wheels I purcahsed for my 87' 300TD. I am haveing some trouble with my suspension(leaking line).Front end seems too soft. Which caused a bit of tire rub on one tire, other three are 100% . I removed them right away. Very little damage, tire is safe. They have less than 1k miles on them. looking for $1200. I'm in the Boston area. I rebalanced the wheel that rubbed the fender. Tires a Goodyear Eagle RS-A 225 45 17. PM or email joe@vibrotica.com

p.s. looking for 16" amg mono II's (replicas ok)

FWIW: I installed the AMG front fender spacer kit and rolled the rear fenders of our 1988 W124 wagon.

With 17x7.5 ET 37 MB Avant-Garde 5-spoke wheels, I am running 245/45WR17 Kumho ECSTA 712's with NO RUBBING.
