WTB - PS pump for 67 250S with M180
I'm looking for a good power steering pump with bracket for a 67 250S with the M180 motor. I've seen a couple of 250SEs and the pump arrangement on the fuel injected M129 is different.

The 250S has an M114 motor. If I recall correctly, the 250S has the pump low on the right with the resevoir attached at the top. -CTH

The 250 (2.5, not 2.8) has the M114 motor but the 250S definitely has the M180. The pump is down low on the US driver side with integral reservoir as you describe.

Your 250S might have an M180, but it didn't come from the factory that way. The M180 motor ended its production run as a 2.3l in the 230S and 230/8 cars.
The M108 motor was used in the 250S, and was then replaced by the M114 in the 250/8. The important thing, is that you want that low mount pump plus resevoir. -CTH |

Interesting discussion but I assure you the M180 was very much the only engine available in the 66-67 250S. The W114 had the M114 as an option but no W108 had the M114 from the factory. I've never heard of an M108... not to suggest I'm all knowing
Edit - didn't want to delete what I said about the 250S having an M180 just yet, but there is considerable information on the 250S having an M108 that I have to do more research. Question is - will the low mount pump of an M114 fit a 67 250S? For that matter, will the pump off a 230-6 fit? Thanks, Sixto 95 S420 87 300SDL Last edited by sixto; 05-04-2004 at 10:52 PM. |

I guess I have to take it back. I'm told the EPC confirms the 250S came with an M108. Good catch. That should make it all the more difficult to find a PS pump and bracket
