2 engines for sale.
Selling 2 engines:
1 617.952 300Turbo, about 200K. Very strong and quick starting, no smoke, turbo spools up nice. 1 117.984 4.5l V-8. about 132k from what I can tell. Very smooth and quiet runner, no top end noise and very good oil pressure. I have not done compression tests on these yet. I'm looking for $450.00 ea. or BO. Thanks!

300D w124 engine 603
Hi
Am looking for a 300 turbo diesel engine 6 cylinder, engine type 603 for a friend. excuse my ignorance but is it at all likely that one of the engines that you refer to is the very same as this? regards,

Sorry..
The 617 is a 5 cyl. Diesel, and the other is an older petrol V8...neither would work.

The 617 engine is out of a 123 chassis, isn't it? Do you know what the differences in this engine and a 617.951 are?

Yes, it's actually still in an 82 300CD. I can't really say what the practical differences are, maybe exhaust manifold and engine mounts, but If I had an SD I would probably use a .952 if I had one...I don't really think there would be any real problems using that engine.

Can you give me and idea of crate shipping to Berkeley, CA? How long have you had the TD? Any idea of it's history? Thanks.

Cook, your diesel is a 300DT if it is a sedan. If it is a station wagon then it is a 300TD. The last 2 letters are reversed. It confused me at first also.
