Would anyone know a place for decent 116 body kit
Im about to paint the car and it seems like I might be able to slap some sort of body kit on there. Is there anything out there that might be interesting or anyone with an old amg w116 in their backyard that want to get rid of a perfectly good body kit. Thanks for all input,

Ill take that civic! and just to spite you, Ill put purple glowing neons around the license plate, tint the windows with that cool tint that has those rainbow colored squares on it. Install an empty ice tea can with some crazy fabrication as a muffler. Add some half ass mounted body kit to it just to have a "fast" look. Paint it with discounted house paint from home depot and then race you. I might not win, more than likely I wont, but something something. BUT at the end of the day, I will be the one getting the nasty a$$ chicks with shaved eyebrows and "bugs" while youre driving around with a benz and trying to square me in the sight that was so strategically designed for such situations. IM GOING TO A TITTIE BAR IN TEXAS so leave me alone.
it was just a freakin question that didnt deserve your kind of answer. You owe me an apology of some sort. G'night scott |

Erebuni (www.erebunicorp.com) has side skirts for the W116 under their clearance section. The quality of their kits is questionable - I know that the bumpers need a lot of prep otherwise they'll crack very easily. Not sure about the side skirts though.

Have you checked ebay? I wouldn't doubt that some have/will show up there. I understand though that thet're never on there when you need them.
Thanks David

I know of a few body kits for the W126 but not for the W116. The W116 was before AMG I think; so their would be no such thing as a W116 AMG. Maybe you could make somethiing or get something made? My personal view is I have never seen a body kit on an old S class that made it look better.
What about lowering it? H&R has a lowering kit for the W126 maybe they could get you one for a W116.

Just to clear a few things up, I have an AMG body kit on my '79 6.9. This consists basically of a front airdam, pair of side skirts and a rear valence which is attached underneath the bumper with the optional trunk mounted rubber wing. I like the looks of the AMG kit, it is very subtle and it gives the car some individuality without looking tacky like some of the other kits for that car. I don't know how many were made, but I'm guessing a mere handful. On the bottom of the rear valence, it is stamped "AMG ****" so they definitely made some kits for this car. Your best bet might be to try EBAY deutschland, 'cuz that is where the few remaining ones probably are. Sadly enough, there is probably a 116 sitting in some junkyard as we speak with this kit. Sorry, not going to part with mine Good luck.
