WTB: Starter for my diesel.

Hey...

I need to upgrade my starter to a bigger one. I would like to use the 300D turbo starter on my 240 D (1983)

Thanks

yes it will and does. In fact the part number referenced by most parts stores is the Turbo one.

There is a very subtle difference between an early 123 diesel starter and a late 123 diesel starter. They will interchange but if the right one is not use, will be short lived.

Make sure you have an 80 model or later starter for your 83.

Good luck,

what is this subtle difference ? Admittedly I have only swapped between a turbo and a non-turbo (as well as a 240D and a 300D) but they all worked and have for years.

thanks

I have a 1982 300D (turbo) starter, no idea of miles on it. Was working perfectly.

$30 + actual shipping cost from 95035 zip code area.(California)
