Will W220 wheels fit on a W116?

I picked up a set of W220 wheels and tires over the holidays and I wanted to know if it will fit on a W116 6.9. They are 16x7.5 with 112mm bolt pattern and have an offset of ET 46mm. Has anyone tried this combination? Are spacers needed? The wheels are identical to the ones listed below.

Where is the conflict for the wheel/tire size? Will they rub the wheel wells etc? Thanks.

The offset is wrong. You are looking for around 25 or less. The original AMGs in that wheel size had an offset of 17.

Right, I know the offset is wrong. Can it be fixed with a spacer or is that improper correction? Are there any other 16" or greater size MB 5 or 7 spoke wheels that will work on the car with or without modification? Thanks.

Spacers should work but I have no experience with those. I believe others have had success with spacers.

The 116 shares the same wheel size including offset as the 107, 123 and 126 so if you find a wheel that fits one of these then it should fit a 116. Mercedes-Benz has not made a wheel to fit since and AMG stopped making wheels with the correct offset a few years ago.
Ronal made a 5 spoke wheel almost identical to the AMGs but even these are not made anymore.

If you don't want to find used AMGs and don't trust spacers, there are a few replica wheels available in the correct size and offset, including replica AMG monoblock disc wheels but I have only seen them in 17x8 ET 25.

w220 use 14mm lugs with a ball seat not 12mm
