Will these fit my 81 W126? (300SD)

I really like these for a factory wheel, they look classic-ish and think they'll look good on the old SD, But WILL THEY FIT??????

Off of a 99 CLK320, i can get em with ok rubber for $200 and i like them

This is a google image of the ones, im not sure what size less you folks know, i was in a hurried parts pick for work and didnt get a chance to check

Skippy~ As for perception: Drive what you like and can afford. Those who don't like it can supply vacuum to one of your components. LOL

If you need parts, I have some!

There kinda an odd looking wheel but I really liked them the first time I had seen them years ago! I dont see very many of them, most seem to have been replaced with somthing else or never ordered with these?
Goody for me though, $50 a wheel w/ tire, and the SD outta look sharp!
Im all giddy about it

This is a photoshop of them on my car, I could not find a set for a good price an ended up getting another type of wheel that is the same size and offset.

I saw a 420SEL the same color shceme as my car with those on it last fall, it looked pretty sweet. It was just before I got done with the paint on mine so I was pretty stoked to see it.

Now this is odd...

I asked pretty much the same question(months ago) about these same CLK wheels and my 300SD and was told I needed spacers. I priced spacers and decided to keep the CLK wheels for my W124. So they WILL work on a W126 w/o spacers? How about a W124?

I think they would fit but the w126 has a horribly low offset, stricter than the w123 (which these fit).

IMO, they look horrid. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING on a w126. somewhat passable on a w123.

I have a set sitting on the side of my house though . bought four of them without tires and in great condition for 75 bucks at pnp (gave me a discount since I'm in there every other day) to put on my dads coupe. One pro is that their incredibly light.

Theres few good looking wheels that fit the w126. I think bundts look ok but the 15 inch 15 hole flat faced wheels fit the car perfect. The flat face seems to sit flush with the body and compliments the boxy design of the chasiss

you do, in fact, need spacers. the fronts will hit the steering arm, and the rear might contact the sway bar "bump". in any event the "proper" offset would be with a 15mm spacers, but I think most get away with 10mm spacers.

how bout a W124? I would hate to have to buy a W123 for these wheels. Would the flat 15" wheels off my 124 fit the 126?

Wrong. I have wheels of the exact same size and offset on my W126. There is a good 1/2" between the wheel and the suspension with no spacers, and they sit in the wheel wells correctly.

Er...the 1st gen W126 and W123 use wheels with the same offset...

They definitely sit inboard of the desired location on the W-126. Would you happen to know the offset and the wheel width? It's valuable to know this info for future wheels with higher than stock offsets.

Wheels are 16x7 ET 37. Perhaps the extra width of the wheel and tires allow them to sit close to correctly in the wheel wells despite the higher offset; I have not noticed a difference between how these wheels and the stock bundts sit in the wheel wells.
