Question wheel offset for a 560 SEL

I bought some AMG wheels for an '82 560 SEL and was sold a set of hub centric spacers for proper fit. The wheels did not fit with the spacers. I know the offset of the AMG wheels is +35mm. Can anyone tell me the offset required for proper fit of the wheels and which size spacers, if any, I might need? Thanks.

Rim Size?

Someone else posted this link before www.autotrixx.com At the bottom of the webpage click on "specs". From what I have read the correct offset is 20 to 25 mm. It sounds like you will need a 10 to 15mm spacer. See note at the bottom of the spec for mercedes parking brake damage due to incorrect lug bolts!!!!!

You sure it's an '82 560SEL??? I thought that the 560SEL's made their dedut in 1986. If indeed a 560SEL the chassis should be 126.039, and the offset of the factory rims should be 25mm.

The 560 SEL didn't come out until 1986...I really hope that the seller didn't slap a 560 badge on it and sell it to you as a REAL 560...anyway, the guys are right about the offset but I wanted to make sure Diane didn't get taken (if that's the case) by someone selling her something OTHER than the 560 she planned on owning...You sure its not a 500?? good luck!
