G'day,
Just wondering if anyone knows the definitive story about the so called Bundt Cake Wheels... I'm keen on replacing my steel wheels on my 1984 300D with them. A few questions if you don't mind: 1) What is a bundt cake?! 2) I've heard that bundt cake wheels came in 14" originally but that some in a 15" size were made later. Is this true? 3) If so do they have different widths and what are these? (inches/centimeters nps). (Presumably both sizes of bundt cake wheels are wider than the standard 14" steel wheels). 4) What is the best size tyre for best handling for the 15" and 14" bundt cake wheels? 5) As alloy wheels go are bundt cake wheels significantly better than the old steel numbers? (ie. weight difference, rigidity etc). Many thanks, David Rayment. |
