Have you dressed your tires lately? Mine sling tire dressing if I don't have time to wait for it to dry properly. Paul

yes but it is a couple days after and its on the center of the rim it wwould sling out

PJozefiak 06-14-2000 05:29 PM

Nope, Same thing always happens to me. Kinda freaked me out at first too. What kind of tire dressing do you use? Simply wipe the excess off your tires and wipe off your rims. I'll bet it doesn't reoccur until you dress your tires again. Paul

son of a gun and black magic but it does it even if i havent put it on could my brakes be giong

PJozefiak 06-14-2000 05:40 PM

It's possible your brakes are the culprit, but I would think you'd notice a mushy pedal before you started sqirting fluid on your wheels. I also use Black Magic and that's exactly what it does to my wheels if I apply to much. It seems my tires will only "absorb" so much and after that it just sits on top. Even if I let it sit for a couple days and then get in to drive (I do this frequently as I have more than one vehicle) if to much had been applied, it slings. Wipe them like I said and also check the body, if you have spots, it's dressing. Paul

Try some Endurance gel for your wheels. It does not sling off and you only have to dress the wheels about 1/3 as often. It also does not form a brake pad paste/gunk on the wheel/tire cleaning mitt as some other dressings seem to.

Hope this helps...Lee

You may be experiencing a static electricity problem because, dust is attracted to areas with static electricity. Tires that are not very conductive do create static electricity in the wheels. that could explain the spots. The wheels have areas which would allow dust attaction to be more prevelent due to static.
Thanks, Luke
