Stiffer suspension to reduce tire rub?

Would the installation of HD shocks and struts reduce the suspension travel? I am asking because I am experiencing and ever so slight tire rub on my rear tears when hitting dips in the road. If these shocks stiffen the suspension then my problem is solved. Thank you.

I would not rely on the shocks to prevent your problem unless they were so stiff that they vibrated the fillings out of your teeth. You need the correct size, or only slightly larger tire for your car.

Good luck,

Thanks.
