Will these Ronals fit my 1980 300D

I am looking for some newer rims to put on my 1980 300d, and was wondering if these would fit.

This is the description i got from the seller:

"they are 16X7, bolt spacing is 5x4.5"

What else would i have to ask him, to find out if these would fit?

Thanks

You need to know the offset. No number is more important than that. You're looking for an offset in the 30s. Usually the figure is an "E33" or similar.

He replied with this:

backspacing is 5 3/4in. and offset is +2 1/4in

Not sure how his offset relates to our mm offset.

If the bolt circle is indeed 4.5 inches, these are for a Ford or Mopar car. They are close, but no cigar, for the MB 112mm bolt circle.

wait....offsets on ronals....

i thought for the W123 you wanted a low 20's offset, i.e. ET23 or so. that's what i was told by someone, Luke I think, when i was buying a set of ronals for my '83 300D. am i wrong? if so, i might need a buyer for these guys...

Ask the guy if he can get you pics of the wheels and of the casting of where it has the ET#. If you're not 100% sure, you can mess up a bolt circle measurement VERY easily. On a 5-bolt it's taken from the center of one to the outside edge of an opposite bolt hole:

Squabble, the offset depends entirely on the wheel width, as it can vary quite a bit.
