I want to lower my 126 just slightly. My main objective is to reduce body roll. A secondary benefit would be to reduce the fender gap. I wish to keep the ride somewhat compliant, however, I'd be willing to sacrifice some comfort for better control. I have no desire to drive a "slammed" car and have no unrealistic ambitions of turning a 126 into a sports sedan.

I have riden in several 126's with the exact same set-up you are looking at and was very impressed by that upgrade

Thanks for the response. I've read some threads where people have stated that you need special shocks for lowered cars. The Eibachs only lower the car about an inch. Will the springs lessen the lifespan of the shocks? Should I spring (pun intended) for konis?

i had problems with this setup on 124 because HD shock is too long. te drop actually was much bigger than an inch.

Koni's or any other adjustable shock is a great idea because, it will allow you to tune the suspension to what you want ...
