I have put Brabus Monblock V 2 peice 19inch wheels on my 97 E420. Up front it has 245/35/19 Yokohama AVS sports and 275/30/19 in the rear, it also has H&R springs and Bilstein Sport shocks.
I get a lot, I mean a lot of road noise from the tires and a grinding feel from the wheels at low speeds. To troubleshoot I took these wheels and tires off and put back the factory ones and everything returned to normal. Put the Brabus combo back on and the noise and grind came back.

The combo does not touch the car body (arches have been flared) and I have the camber kit in the rear. Rotors and Pads are in excellent condition.

Is there something I've missed. Anyone got any ideas?

Is there any sign of contact wear to either the outside OR inside of your tires or rims??

No Dean, there's no rubbing contact whatsoever.

Check the length of your rear lug bolts. If they are too long they could be rubbing the parking brake shoes !!!!!!!!!! are your rims deep dish in the rear with a different offset than the factory rims ?
To see if this is the problem, leave the brabus on the front and put the factory rims on the rear and take a ride around the block. At least you will be able to isolate the problem to the front or rear of the car.

I have almost the same set up as you.

I currently have the Brabus Monoblock V 2 piece 19" wheels:

front: 19" x 8.5" with 235/35 r 19 Pirelli P7000s
rear: 19" x 9.5" with 265/30 r 19 Pirelli P7000s w/ 5mm spacers

and H&R Springs. So far no noise as you described.

I recall that the lug bolts for the Brabus wheels are different than the OEM wheels; I believe they are shorter for the Brabus wheels.

Make sure that your lug bolts fit and properly clear the inside of the hub.

The road noise you are experiencing could simply be the low profile of the tires or the tires themselves. The Yoko AVSs might be more aggressive/sporty than the P7000s, thus producing more road noise altogether.

p.s. How do like the ride with the Bilstein shocks? This will be my next upgrade.

Good ideas guys, I did buy a set of lock/lug bolts but they turned out to be to long so I am running with the orignal factory lugs. Maybe a call into Brabus for the Brabus spec lugs will be in order.

Jeneric21 I remember your car - a white one used to have a picture of it as my desktop when I in the planning stages of what to do to my car.
I have been running the bilsteins for sometime and so right now I don't know any better. Just after I put them on I noticed that the ride was much tighter, less bounce especially on road irregularities. I must say I have never felt that I shouldn't of changed the shocks, really the luxury ride is still there just tighter.
