Does anyone know the backset for the steel wheels on a W115 300D as opposed to the alloy wheels that came on the mid 90's E series MB's I am thinking of changing them over. I calculating the tire sizes, I have 195 70R 14's on the car now and I am thinking 225 55R 15's on the new wheels the diameter difference is negligable. It makes about .3 difference in speedo readings at 60 MPH.
