1994 s 320 gas pedal play

i have about 1/2 inch play on my gas pedal if this is not usual haw do i adjust it

While I don't know what the linkage style is on your chassis, if it a hard rod-type, check to see that both spherical balls used for "bearings" on the rod at the firewall from the gas pedal and where it goes into the bracket on the engine are there and functioning as they should. OThe end of the rod as it goes into the firewall is loaded by a spring too.
